Letters of objection must state the name and address of the objector; the grounds of the objection; whether the objector has an interest in land near to that which the application relates; and be signed by the objector.

Middle And Senior School 2023 – 2024 Registration For The Bermuda Public School System [BPSS]

Registration for Middle and Senior School will occur on:
- Monday, 24th, April 2023
- Tuesday, 25th April 2023
- Wednesday 26th, April 2023
- Thursday, 27th April 2023
- Friday, 28th April 2023
Procedures for Enrolment
- Parents are asked to review the registration form and complete it according to the instructions on the form.
- The manager or principal of a private school, must on request from the Ministry of Education, submit the official transcript of any student who has applied to be admitted to a school in the BPSS.
Students Currently Enrolled in the BPSS
- An email with a link to the electronic online registration form is sent to the parent or guardian.
- Completed electronic forms are submitted and received by the Registrar for review and consideration.
Students Registering into the BPSS
- The online electronic application is available at www.moed.bm under the Department of Education Registration tab.
- Online electronic applications must be supported by the following uploaded documents:
Copy of child’s birth certificate
BELCO bill for verification of residential address
Report card or transcript.
Registration Deadline
- The deadline for the receipt of registration forms is Friday, 28th, April 2023.
- All registration forms received after Friday, 28th April 2023 will be deemed late.
- Late registration forms will be considered after all on-time registration forms have been processed.
Appeals
- Parents who wish to appeal the denial of admission to an aided or maintained school shall submit a completed electronic appeals form using an electronic link provided in the registration decision letter.
- Appeals are independent of the Ministry and Department of Education and are decided by the Appeals Committee.
- The deadline for appeals is Wednesday, 24th May, 2023.
- Appeals received after Wednesday, 24th May, 2023 will be deemed late.
- Late appeals will only be considered with good cause.
Conditions of Enrolment
Middle School
- If a student is already registered in the BPSS, enrolment into a particular middle school is determined by the primary school attended at the time of registration; therefore, a student must be enrolled in the middle school designated by the primary school attended unless s/he has moved prior to registration.
- If a student has moved prior to registration, s/he may be enrolled in the middle school closest to his or her residence.
- There must be sufficient space to accommodate the child as per the permissible maximum enrolment.
- Students registering into the BPSS must be enrolled in the middle school closest to their residence.

- Conditions of Enrolment
Senior School – Enrolment in Signature Learning Programmes
- 1.Parents may make an application for their child to be enrolled in a specific track within a Signature Learning Programme that is offered at a senior school.
- 2.Students will receive the first choice track if there is sufficient enrolment space to accommodate them in the first choice track.
- 3.If the first choice track is oversubscribed, a random selection process will be used to determine the successful applicants for the first choice track.
- 4.Unsuccessful applicants for the first choice track will be considered for their second choice track. Students will receive their second choice track if there is sufficient enrolment space to accommodate them in the second choice track.
- 5.If the second choice track is oversubscribed, a random selection process will be used to determine the successful applicants for their second choice track.
- 6.Once the first and second choice tracks are oversubscribed, students who have not been enrolled in a track will be enrolled in the third choice track.
- 7.Parents who do not believe there is a suitable track or Signature Learning Programme for their child can select the “No Suitable Track/Signature Learning Programme” option.
- 8.Students who do not select a major/minor track will be allocated an enrolment place at a senior school to complete a traditional school track after all other enrolment placements have been made.
