Minister Welcomes Norwegian Joy Cruise Ship
Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert recently welcomed Captain Hakan Svedung on the occasion of Norwegian Joy’s first call of the season to Bermuda.
A Government spokesperson said, “Last week, the Minister of Transport, the Hon. Wayne L. Furbert JP, MP, welcomed Captain Hakan Svedung on the occasion of Norwegian Joy’s first call of the season to Bermuda. The Norwegian Joy arrived on May 17 from New York with 4,334 passengers.”
Minister Furbert said, “NCL is one of our most important partners in the cruise ship industry. In my discussions with NCL senior executives, we know our partnership has proven to be mutually beneficial. We are pleased that NCL is estimated to bring 91 calls to Bermuda between their brands and weather permitting this year.”

Really ? Does this guy have a clue? Has he spoken to a merchant or retailer in Dockyard or along Front St. ?
