Berkeley Invites Public To Beach Bash On Aug 12
The Berkeley Educational Society is extending an invitation to everyone to attend the Berkeley Family Beach Bash on Saturday [Aug 12] at Clearwater Beach.
A spokesperson said, “This has been an exciting year celebrating 125 years of our school. The Berkeley Educational Society is extending an invitation to all to join for the Berkeley Family Beach Bash, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 10am – 6pm at Clearwater Beach in St. George’s.
“To celebrate 125 years of education, beginning in September 2022, the Berkeley Educational Society held a series of events designed to encourage Berkeleyites far and wide to celebrate their Alma Mater and the connection we all have with the school and its legacy.
“This Berkeley Family Beach Day will end the year of activities, by bringing together the Berkeley Family for a day of sun and fun. There will be games, refreshments and vendors on site for additional snacks and refreshments.
“This is a free event, but donations are welcome. The wider Berkeley family is welcome and encouraged to bring their families for a fun, relaxing day, reconnecting with classmates, old and new.

“The Berkeley Educational Society, formed in 1879, is the parent organization that lead the charge to creating a school where all Bermuda’s young people could gain an education. On September 6th, 1897, The Berkeley Institute opened its doors at Samaritan’s Lodge, on Court Street. Every year, on September 6th, an anniversary celebration is held to acknowledge and celebrate this auspicious occasion.
