Etteleon Burchall Earns BF&M Scholarship
Etteleon Burchall has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 BF&M Post Graduate John Wight Scholarship.
A spokesperson said, “The scholarship will support her pursuit of a Master of Science degree in Global Health Policy at the University of London.
“Etteleon Burchall’s academic journey has been marked by determination, resilience, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact on healthcare systems. She graduated with a GPA of 3.41 from Spelman College in 2020, with her bachelors in Science.”

“I believe a degree in Global Health Policy coupled with the characteristics that I once imagined would make an excellent doctor – tenacious problem solver, excellent communicator, pragmatic and analytical mind, and my desire to help others – will make for an even better health policy analyst,” says Etteleon Burchall.
The spokesperson said, “Etteleon brings valuable experience from roles such as the Department of Health and the Pandemic Response Unit in 2021. Her passion for healthcare transformation has driven her to pursue a path as a Health Policy Analyst. Recognizing the critical gaps and challenges exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, she aspires to bridge those gaps through evidence-based policies and legislation. Her goal is to propose and advocate for policies that reduce healthcare disparities and ensure that health remains a fundamental human right.”
