Campbell Patton Wins Bronze In Sydney
Campbell Patton has won the bronze medal in the men’s dinghy ILCA 7 class at the Sail Sydney regatta in Australia today [December 15].
The Bermudian sailor was penalised in the medal race for an OCS [on the course side], meaning his boat was on the wrong side of the start line at the starting signal.
Patton was able to drop his worst finish to place third overall with 68 total points and 57 net points from the 11 races.
He won three, came twice second, and third once at Woollahra Sailing Club.
Sam King, of Australia, won the class, with his compatriot Isaac Schotte coming second.
