Yushae DeSilva-Andrade Climbs Rankings

Yushae DeSilva-Andrade ends the year with a boccia world ranking of fourth in the women’s individual BC1 division.
The Bermudian, who won a silver medal at the Parapan Am Games in Santiago, Chile, last month, climbs two spots in the rankings as she builds towards the Paralympic Games in Paris next summer.
“Finishing off the year fourth in the world,” DeSilva-Andrade wrote on Facebook. “So proud of the year I’ve had. Thanks to everyone who has helped along the way.”
The 30-year-old enjoyed a superb year, winning medals in three World Cup competitions.
She claimed gold at the Fortaleza World Boccia Cup in Brazil, silver at the World Boccia Challenger in Santiago, Chile, and silver at the Montreal World Boccia Cup.
