Motorcyclist And Pedestrian Injured In Collision
Two females were injured in a collision this evening [Jan 20] in Hamilton Parish, with a 19-year-old motorcyclist and 17-year-old pedestrian transported to hospital.
A police spokesperson said, “Two females were injured in a road traffic collision which occurred shortly before 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 20th, 2024.
“The incident took place on North Shore Road, near the junction with Radnor Rd, Hamilton Parish.
“Reports are a 19-year-old female motorcyclist was traveling west along North Shore Road, when upon reaching a pedestrian crossing just east of Radnor Road, was in collision with a 17-year-old female pedestrian who was attempting to cross the roadway.
“The pedestrian did not suffer any visible injuries, but complained of pain to her arm and back.
“The motorcycle rider appeared to have suffered a dislocated shoulder. They were both transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
“This matter is now under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788 or, the main police number, 295-0011.
