Ascot Launches New Reinsurance Business
Ascot announced the launch of its Marine & Energy Treaty reinsurance business in Bermuda, led by Alex Kirkby, with support from Emma Foxley.
A spokesperson said, “Ascot today announces the launch of the company’s Marine & Energy Treaty reinsurance business in Bermuda, led by the newly appointed Alex Kirkby, Senior Vice President, Head of Marine & Energy, Bermuda and supported by Emma Foxley, Vice President, Marine and Energy, Bermuda.
“Alex joins Ascot with more than a decade of experience in the Marine & Energy space, with significant time spent on both the broker and carrier sides of the business. He is well-known in the market, most recently working as Vice President at Validus Reinsurance, responsible for underwriting Marine, Energy and Composite business. Prior to Validus, he spent time at both PartnerRe and Willis Re.
“Emma joins from Lancashire Insurance Group, where she worked as an underwriter in their Specialty Reinsurance segment. Prior to Lancashire, she worked as a Portfolio Analyst at Markel CATCo Investment Management. She has spent her insurance career in Bermuda developing and deepening key relationships with clients across the region.”
