KPMG Releases 2024/25 Budget Snapshot
Following Premier David Burt’s presentation of the 2024/25 budget on Friday [Feb 16], KPMG has released its analysis and commentary on the budget highlights.
A spokesperson said, “Premier David Burt presented the 2024/25 budget on Friday, February 16, 2024. The Government has presented a balanced budget for the first time in over 20 years with the decision not to impose new taxes or tax increases on employees or employers and to maintain government fees, which has generally been well received by businesses.
“This balanced budget is primarily driven by continued growth in employment, particularly in the international business and construction sectors, with international business now employing close to the number of staff in the peak year of 2008.
“Following the Premier’s statement, KPMG in Bermuda provides commentary on highlights and its perspective on key items discussed in the Budget Statement.”
