Rhode Island Wins, Gives Warren Family A Jersey
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island team defeated the Bermuda Select 8 – 0 at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium at the National Sports Center this weekend.
Rhode Island dominated the match taking a 5 – 0 lead into the break, before scoring three times in the second half. Rhode Island got two goals from Noah Fuson, Joe Brito, and Joeja Kwizera, while Marc Ybarta and Prince Saydee both added a goal each.
Before the kick-off, former Bermuda International and now General manager and Head Coach of Rhode Island Khano Smith and one of his players presented the family of the late Marco Warren a Rhode Island jersey with Warren’s name and number on it, saying they wanted to do our part in honoring Marco Warren.
