Volleyball Teams Continue In Boston Festival
The second week of competition in the Nike Boston Volleyball Festival got underway with three Bermuda teams taking part.
The Paradise Hitters Under 18 team ended day one with a record of 1 7 2, they would go down 25-19, 25-12 to Creole Big Apple in their opener, but they bounced back to defeat Mill City Blue 25-18, 25-21, before closing out the evening falling 25-16, 28-26 to the Timberwolves.
The Big Wave Riders Under 17 team also ended day one with a record of 1 & 2, they started with a 25-12, 25-15 win over the KVA Wolfpack, but they would fall in their next match 25-23, 23-25, 15-12 to the CT Stars/MEVBC2. They would fall 25-21, 25-19 in their final match of the night to the NYC VBA Downtown.
The Big Wave Riders Under 18 team ended day One with a 1 & 2 record. They fell in their opener 26-24, 25-22 to the Attack One Team, they would then defeat the Blast Heat 25-16, 25-13, before falling 25-22, 21-25, 15-5 to the GSEVC Boy.
Juanita Blee Bermuda Volleyball Association NTC Chairperson said, “We are very proud of all the athletes who play today. Each team played tough and had great rallies. The teams are matched very well with the others in their groups. We are excited for another good day tomorrow.”
