Department Gears Up For Agricultural Exhibition
Minister David Burch is commending the “community’s commitment to preserving Bermudian heritage” as the Department of Parks prepares for the 83rd annual Agricultural Exhibition at the Botanical Gardens.
Minister Burch said, “The Ag Show is a testament to our community’s commitment to preserving and celebrating our Bermudian heritage.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The Minister’s comments come as employees from the Department of Parks are making progress in transforming the grounds of the Botanical Gardens for the opening of the 83rd annual Agricultural Exhibition, which will take place there from April 18 to April 20.”
“The iconic event promises a showcase of local agriculture, horticulture, and craftsmanship at its finest.”
Minister Burch said, “The hard work being poured into these preparations highlights a team effort and determination to make this year’s Exhibition a success, following the successful show that we witnessed last year.”
The spokesperson said, “In the days leading up to the event, workers from the Department of Parks, bolstered by eager young participants from the Skills Development Programme and a group of volunteers, have been busy preparing various sections of the Gardens.
“From the arrangement of the Formal Garden to the composition of the Sensory Garden, every corner is being groomed to meet the public’s expectations. These efforts ensure that the showcases of animals, plants, and traditional displays will take centre stage for the enjoyment of all patrons.”
Key information:
- “Opening hours during the course of the three days will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- “Admission tickets may be purchased on location: $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.
