BUEI Films To Screen ‘Wicked Little Letters’
The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] is set to feature the 2023 comedy/mystery ‘Wicked Little Letters,’ directed by Thea Sharrock, as part of its ongoing ‘Films at BUEI’ series.
A spokesperson said, “‘Films at BUEI’ continues at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] with the screening of the 2023 Comedy/Mystery, ‘Wicked Little Letters’ on Saturday, June 22nd at 7:30pm in our Tradewinds Auditorium. [Wheelchair Accessible]
“Directed by Thea Sharrock, this British dark comedy mystery film is based on a true scandal. ‘Wicked Little Letters’ follows an investigation into the anonymous source of various crude and insulting letters sent to residents of the seaside town: Littlehampton. The screenplay for ‘Wicked Little Letters’ was written by Jonny Sweet, a British comedian and the recipient of the 2009 Edinburgh Comedy Award for best newcomer.
“The film stars Olivia Colman [The Iron Lady, The Favourite, Heartstopper], Jessie Buckley [Beast, Wild Rose, Chernobyl], Anjana Vasan [The Children Act, Mogul Mowgli, Cyrano], Joanna Scanlan [Girl With a Pearl Earring, Notes on a Scandal, The Invisible Woman], Gemma Jones [Sense and Sensibility, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, Ammonite], Malachi Kirby [My Brother the Devil, Fallen, Boiling Point], Lolly Adefope [Taskmaster, Mission Impossible: Fallout, Miracle Workers], Eileen Atkins [Robin Hood, The Scapegoat, Paddington 2], and Timothy Spall [The Last Samurai, The King’s Speech, The Sixth Commandment].
“The film is rated R with a runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes.
