Warwick Team To Play In Texas Tournament
The Warwick Football Academy U16 boys team will compete in the inaugural Texas International Cup in Arlington.
A spokesperson said, “The WFA U16 boys will depart on Tuesday to participate in the inaugural Texas International Cup tournament to be held in Arlington, Texas.
“The invite to the tournament comes after the conclusion of an undefeated season, during which the team captured honors in four competitions- Bermuda Football Association Lee Holder Cup, U15 League, U15 Knockout Cup, and the Kappa Classic.
“The team will face off against strong competition as the tournament features top ranked US & Mexican youth & academy teams. In the u16 Boys division WFA have been drawn to play group games against:
- Arkansas Comets – ECNL Regional League
- Sting Soccer Club – West Texas
- Lubbock Knights – Texas
- Tulsa Soccer Club from Oklahoma – ECNL Elite
“The tournament kicks off with the opening ceremony and Copa America watch party at Texas Live on Wednesday June 26th.
“Group matches will be played at the Harold Patterson Sports Center between June 27th- 29th, with the finals played on June 30th.
