Motorcyclist Injured In Collision In Sandys
A man has been transported to hospital following a collision in Sandys this evening.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:25 PM on Friday, 19 July 2024 police and other first responders were dispatched to a report of a serious single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, on Somerset Road in the vicinity of Scaur Drive, Sandys
“Initial information suggest that a man riding a motorcycle was traveling in the eastbound lane, when he hit the nearside wall, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
“The man has been transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, the extent to which is uncertain at this time.
“Traffic heading east is being directed around the collision site, whilst traffic heading west is being diverted onto the railway trail at Lantana Drive, while police process and clear the scene.
