Tennis: Bermuda’s Team Defeat Aruba In Trinidad
Bermuda secured a victory in their second match at the Billie Jean King Cup Americas Group Three Division in Trinidad & Tobago, triumphing over Aruba with a score of 2-1.
Shelby Madeiros led the charge, putting Bermuda ahead early by defeating Mali Baroud in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. However, Nadhira Durham faced a tough challenge and was overcome by Jelsyvette Croes, 6-3, 6-2, which evened the score at 1-1.
The decisive moment came in the doubles match where Zoe Fisher teamed up with Madeiros. Together, they clinched the victory for Bermuda by overcoming Croes and Danna Nunez in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.
