Love Is Love Bermuda & IRG To Host Fundraiser

Love is Love Bermuda and IRG are hosting a daytime Oktoberfest fundraiser on September 29, 2024, supporting Home Bermuda and Kaleidoscope.

A spokesperson said, “Love is Love Bermuda and Island Restaurant Group [IRG] have partnered up to extend Oktoberfest as a daytime special fundraising pride event on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 1:00pm. In addition to IRG’s evening events on Friday September 27th and Saturday September 28th, this special daytime fundraiser will support charities Home Bermuda and Kaleidoscope.

“We at Love is Love Bermuda were more than happy to partner with IRG for this event as it helps us to continue to promote safe space events and support our community’s hard working charities.

“Oktoberfest, in the Victualling Yard at the Royal Naval Dockyard, is Bermuda’s best loved beer, brats and brass band festival. Headlining this event is one of the world’s outstanding beer hall bands, Oompah Brass, who are, in the words of Chris Evans, BBC Radio 2 host, “The Legends in Lederhosen- they rock- so good!”

“Authentically featuring beers and ales from within the “city limits” of the Royal Naval Dockyard, from IRG’s very own microbrewery Dockyard Brewing Co. Oktoberfest will be set up in the classic style of long trestle tables where you can enjoy traditional Oktoberfest dishes by Küchenchef Jonny Roberdtz.

“Tickets for this fundraiser are $25 per person or tables of ten for $250 and are available via www.ptix.bm.

“We ask that the community please come out to support this special fundraiser for both Home Bermuda and Kaleidoscope. All are welcome, especially within the LGBTQ+ & ally community.”
