Coast Guard Attends After Boat Runs Aground
A 30-foot pleasure craft with six people ran aground near Paradise Lakes on Saturday [Oct 26], and Coast Guard vessels attended and transported the passenger and the boat was refloated the next morning.
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre [BMOC] spokesperson said, “Bermuda Radio was advised of 30 ft pleasure craft with 6 people onboard aground in the vicinity of Paradise Lakes on the marked shoal between Fern and Eta Island.
“Two Coast Guard vessels attended and transported all onboard to Barrs Bay as the boat was hard aground. The boat was refloated at high water the following morning and returned to the Dinghy Club without further incident.”
