Diabetes Association To Hold AGM On Nov 26
The Bermuda Diabetes Association [BDA] will hold its 45th Annual General Meeting [AGM] on Tuesday [Nov 26].
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Diabetes Association is proud to announce its 45th Annual General Meeting, marking a milestone of dedication to improving diabetes awareness, care, and prevention in Bermuda.
“This special event will take place on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 5.30pm at Brian O’Hara House, AXA-XL, 1 Bermudiana Road, Hamilton.
“In recognition of this significant anniversary, the BDA is inviting the public to attend from 5:30pm to 7:00pm to celebrate the Association’s remarkable journey and contributions to the community. The event also serves as a closing highlight to Diabetes Awareness Month and aims to inspire greater community involvement.
“The evening will feature a presentation by Professor David Owens, CBE, MD, FRCP, who will discuss the findings from the Retinal Screening Study conducted in Bermuda in March 2023. This study offers insights into diabetes care and prevention, relevant to improving health outcomes for the people of Bermuda.
“Guests are invited to join us for light refreshments from 5:30pm to 6:00pm before the AGM commences. Anyone wishing to attend should RSVP to media@diabetes.bm by Monday, November 25.
