Mia Fishel Continues Comeback In Portugal
Footballer Mia Fishel has been training in Portugal with Chelsea Women as she continues her recovery from a long-term knee injury.
Fishel, whose father is Bermudian, underwent surgery in March last year after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury while training with the United States women’s national team.
Chelsea Women have been preparing for the second half of the Women’s Super League [WSL] season at a warm-weather training camp in Portugual ahead of their FA Cup match at home to Charlton Athletic on Sunday [January 12].
Fishel, who was born in San Diego, California, will look to help Chelsea continue their strong start to the season, sitting top of the WSL after ten matches.
The 23-year-old scored once in ten appearances in the WSL last season as Chelsea claimed a fifth successive title.
