The DailyMale Men’s Health Clinic is anxiously awaiting the arrival of a purpose-built van for use as a mobile health clinic.

Among items revealed in the charity’s first annual report were details regarding the purchase of a customised vehicle from overseas at a cost of a little more than $66,000.

The van will allow the organisation to pivot from that of a pop-up variety to a model that is truly mobile.

“To increase health access, remain cost-effective, improve health outcomes, and bridge healthcare to the community, we are raising funds to purchase and maintain Bermuda’s first screening van,” stated the report, however, it is known that the van has already been purchased and outfitted, with only the delivery yet to be completed. “As we are centred around collaboration, our van can be utilised by other local charities and health organisations for other medical screening activities.

“A health screening van will not only provide free point-of-care testing to the underserved but play a key role in improving the health of future generations.

“We plan to continue our services through a mobile facility, upon its arrival in 2025.”

DailyMale is a mobile clinic offering free prostate cancer and cardiovascular screenings to uninsured [12%] and underinsured [23%] men.

It aims to identify high-risk individuals for early diagnosis and treatment, reducing the costs of advanced diseases and improving awareness.

The purpose of DailyMale is to promote early detection, prevention, and informed health decisions among men in Bermuda.
