Stationery Store Plus To Close On April 30
The Stationery Store Plus has announced that it will be closing its doors permanently on Wednesday, April 30th.
A spokesperson said, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of The Stationery Store Plus on April 30th. Significant efforts have been made to keep the business operational. However, with rising supply & shipping costs and increased overseas purchasing, the business model is no longer feasible.
“Since opening in July 2021, our mission has been to ‘learn through play’ by inspiring young minds with educational, innovative, and creative toys, games, and crafts. We have loved being a part of your families’ learning journeys and appreciate our loyal customer’s support.
“Though Stationery Store Plus will be closing, our sister store, The Stationery Store, will remain open. The Stationery Store will continue to offer office supplies, crafts, and school essentials. Some of our fine art supplies will transition to the lower store, and we are currently assessing what else will make the move.
“To our loyal customers, we invite you to take advantage of our Moving Sale with deep discounts and more leading up to our final day. Be sure to follow us on social media and visit stationerystore.bm for updates.
“Don’t miss out on our final sales, follow us on social media and visit stationerystore.bm for updates. We hope to see you at The Stationery Store soon!”

EVERY BODY LOOSES
We live in a dependant island where every body depends on one another when that ceases causing no less a down fall.
Naming all the reason which are many, does no remedy the situation as the main impact is affects people who loose their jobs the trickle down alone become a trend.,that affect our day to day economy.
Th. THE WHEEL STOPS TURNING
There is always a root cause, as not every body is a business person as each business tries to out do the other , tha is refered too as competition.
I have often said we have to do more with less
if the partnership is lost bewtwee the buyer an the seller no money come in the door , one of the problen is feeding the middle men . freight insurance whole sale aencies.
People in Bermuda are becoming cost consience , with computers i am tha the stationart manystores did no go bust years ago in BEER street .
One of the problems is inability sales staff who with out proper training and motivation become an expence to the business. >>>>>> last in first out. owner participation works.
Stock control becomes cash control if there is no turn over of merchandise it does not take long for new to become old that is aa half measure of on profit . .
but does no address the real problem which is. TIME. WASTING.
I wll say Bermuda main problem are it archaic business houres this 9am to 5pm shop hours went out 40 years ago.
Here I will change to subject.
Bermuda has to learn to be flexable with its business hours there is a time to shop and a time to not shop.
We have so called global warming ( sun spots ) there are 3 houres during miday it is not good to be out in the hot sun the affects production of construction workers.
Bermuda’s day need to be devided up in to sections that will get rid of the trafic rush hour for starters
Back to the stationary store doors should open at 10 AM and close at 10 PM or 12 noom to 10 Pm try it . !
THE SECRET TO IT ALL IS >>>>>>>>>.” MARKETING”.
SELL ONLY WHAT SELLS. got it ! get rid of your dead stock drop the price to break even CHING ! CHING !
By the way to all of you strore owners reduce your profit margins
ALSO ! Govermment reduce your taxes !
Harbour night have nearly got it right ! try Friday night also
why only one evening may ask ?.
here is one of my many sayaings !
” How do you know that it will not work if you do not try it first”.
The Weather changes, so we have to change with it.
FLEXABILITY IS THE KEY
Whaaaaaaat? Wow.
Happy Hour start early today?
A very great loss for students looking for school stationary supplies as well as the terrible reality that there are now NO ART SUPPLIES STORES IN BERMUDA!!
As a professional artist & business owner of 17 years I can say this is a heavy loss for Bermuda.
