Sailing: Penruddocke & Kempe Conclude ILCA

Bermudian sailors Adriana Penruddocke and Sebastian Kempe have concluded their participation in the 2025 ILCA 6 Women’s & ILCA 7 Men’s World Championships in Qingdao, China, following a significant reduction in the racing schedule due to adverse weather. The event, initially scheduled for five days, was shortened to two days of competition at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center.

Sebastian Kempe competed in the ILCA 7 Men’s fleet, completing five races to finish 85th overall with 99 net points. On the final day, Kempe recorded a 17th-place finish in the first race [the third race of the series] and a 19th-place finish in the subsequent race. He did not participate in the final race.

In the ILCA 6 Women’s fleet, Adriana Penruddocke finished in 33rd place overall with 79 net points, also completing five races. On the final day of competition, Penruddocke sailed to a 10th-place finish in the first race [the fourth race of the series] and concluded her championship with another 10th-place finish in the final race.
