Mia Fishel, who is visiting the island, has been linked with a move away from Chelsea Women this summer.

Fishel, whose father Patrick is Bermudian, is talks with several National Women’s Soccer League teams, according to reports in the United States.

The 24-year-old helped Chelsea complete the treble – Women’s Super League, FA Cup and League Cup – last season.

She scored her first goal since recovering from a serious knee injury in Chelsea’s 4-0 league win at home to Crystal Palace last month.

An ESPN article read: “Fishel, 24, is in search of a summer move to become the focal point of an NWSL’s team’s forward line with an eye toward earning more USWNT caps ahead of the 2027 World Cup.”

Fishel, who joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023, is related to the Bascomes, the island’s famous football family, including former Bermuda players Andrew and David Bascome.
