9-Yr-Old Boy Injured In Collision In Southampton

A two-vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton on Saturday evening [June 28] resulted in a 9-year-old boy being taken to hospital for treatment.

A police spokesperson said, “At approximately 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, 28th June 2025, police and other first responders were dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Middle Road, near the junction with Tribe Road no. 3 in Southampton.

“Initial information suggests that both vehicles were traveling in an easterly direction when the vehicle in front, attempted to make a right-hand turn into a private driveway. The second vehicle then struck the rear of the first.

“The only reported injury was to a 9-year-old boy, who was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is currently unknown.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the area has been cordoned off while the scene is forensically processed. Traffic is being diverted at Church Road and Lighthouse Road. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible.”
