Erica Hawley Reflects On Superb Form
Triathlete Erica Hawley is enjoying a fine run of form after achieving back-to-back podium finishes to boost her world ranking.
Hawley started the year with a ninth-place place finish at the World Triathlon Cup Napier, followed by a seventh place at the Americas Triathlon Cup Miami.
She then competed in the elite women’s race at the World Triathlon Championship Series Yokohama, finishing 28th.
More recently, competing in Canada, she came second at the Americas Triathlon Cup Magog before finishing third at the Americas Triathlon Cup Montreal last weekend.
The Olympian is ranked 80th in the World Ranking, 83rd in the World Triathlon Championship Series, 60th in the Individual Olympic Qualification Ranking, and sixteenth in the Continental rankings.
“Back to back podiums in Canada!” Hawley wrote on social media.
“Third place in Montreal was definitely a surprise with how I was feeling, but once I started running, I was in that flow state.
“The last couple months have really tested me but my decision to come to Canada was the right one.”
