Road Closures & Lane Restrictions In Pembroke
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment has announced upcoming road closures and lane restrictions along Palmetto Road in Pembroke Parish.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of two upcoming traffic disruptions on Palmetto Road in Pembroke Parish due to infrastructure works associated with the Glebe Road Bridge.
“A full road closure will take place on Palmetto Road from 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, 12 July, until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, 13 July 2025.
“This closure is necessary to accommodate the erection of scaffolding underneath the Glebe Road Bridge.
“Following this, a single lane closure will be implemented along Palmetto Road beneath the Glebe Road Bridge starting Monday, 14 July through to Friday, 15 August 2025.
“This lane restriction is required to facilitate bridge repair works, which will take place daily between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Temporary traffic lights and on-site personnel will manage vehicle flow during this period.
“Motorists are strongly advised to use alternative routes via Marsh Folly Road and Bishop Spencer Road and to expect delays when travelling through the affected area.
“The Ministry encourages the public’s cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
