Rugby: Bermuda U-19 Men Defeat Trinidad
Bermuda’s under-19 men’s rugby team earned its first victory at the 2025 Rugby Americas North men’s U19 XVs Tournament, defeating Trinidad 10-7 before falling to Jamaica in later matches.
In their third game of the tournament, the Bermuda squad secured a hard-fought win against Trinidad. Osiris Buffonge-Hunt opened the scoring for Bermuda with a try in the 16th minute. A second Bermuda try early in the second half increased their lead to 10-0.
Trinidad answered with a converted try, closing the gap to 10-7, but Bermuda’s defense held firm to secure the victory.
Later in the day, Bermuda was defeated 26-3 by Jamaica.
Bermuda finished the pool play stage of the tournament with a record of one win and three losses.
