Tennis: Phillips Advances To Monastir 2nd Round
Bermudian tennis player Daniel Phillips advanced to the second round of the M15 Monastir ATP Tour tournament after a comeback victory against Michael Bassem Sobhy of Egypt.
Phillips, continuing his run on the professional circuit, defeated Sobhy in a three-set match. After dropping the first set 5-7, Phillips rallied to win the next two sets 6-3, 6-4 to secure the win.
This was Phillips’ second consecutive tournament successfully qualifying for the main draw.
He will next face Niklas Schell of Germany.
