Bowling: Astronauts, Odd Balls & Cubs Win
Week 5 of the 2025/26 Continental Bowling League season brought a shake-up in the standings as the Astronauts defeated league leaders Nifty Rollers 17-10 in a key matchup.
The victory lifted the Astronauts, who were in second place entering the week, closer to the top of the table and increased pressure on the Nifty Rollers heading into the next round of fixtures.
In other matches, the sixth-placed Odd Balls recorded a dominant 21-6 win over ninth-placed Sunset, while the eighth-placed Cubs upset fifth-placed The Invaders 18-9. The Invaders’ loss saw them drop valuable points as the competition at the top tightened.
The match between third-placed Spicenix and fourth-placed Under Dawgs was postponed, and seventh-placed New Hope received a bye.
