Several teams advanced in the Gregory Grimes Under 13 and Leonard DeRosa Holder Under 15 Knock-Out Quarter-Finals with a series of high-scoring matches.
Gregory Grimes Under 13 Knock-Out Quarter-Finals
PHC Zebras 0 Somerset Trojans 1
At PHC Stadium, Somerset Trojans advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 victory over the PHC Zebras. The only goal of the game was scored by Caden Burgess.
North Village Rams 1 Vasco 3
Vasco came from behind to defeat the North Village Rams 3-1 at Bernard’s Park. North Village’s Cree Bean scored in the first minute, but Roman Gaglio equalized for Vasco in the 24th minute. Vasco secured the win with second-half goals from Ryan Renaud in the 56th minute and Damian Moniz in the 70th minute.
Devonshire Colts 0 FC Bascome 17
FC Bascome defeated Devonshire Colts 17-0 at Shelly Bay Field. Mackay Browne led all scorers with six goals, and Ajani Trott added five. Dage Butterfield scored twice, while Shiloh Stevens, Ben McQueen, Charlie Kilborn, and Oran Lynch each scored one goal.
WA BOCA 7 FC Bascome 0
At Warwick Academy Field, WA BOCA shut out FC Bascome’s other side 7-0. Caleb Mell scored twice, and Casano Dickinson and Lucas Nathi each added a goal in the first half. In the second half, Dickinson scored his second goal, and Karoli Oloya and Lorcan McGynn each added a goal to complete the scoring.
Leonard DeRosa Holder Under 15 Knock-Out Quarter-Finals
PHC Zebras 10 Dandy Town Hornets 0
The PHC Zebras defeated the Dandy Town Hornets 10-0 at PHC Stadium. Stephen Astwood scored four goals in the first half, with Amir Weller and Rufaro Kunze also adding goals. Weller and Kunze each scored a second goal in the second half, along with single goals from Evan Hayward and Azai Dyer.
Devonshire Colts 4 [4] Southampton Rangers 4 [2]
Devonshire Colts defeated Southampton Rangers in a penalty shootout after the game ended 4-4 at the end of regulation time. J Hayward scored three goals for Southampton Rangers in the first 18 minutes. T Franklin scored for Devonshire Colts in the 33rd minute. Southampton Rangers’ Deshun Martin scored early in the second half, but Devonshire Colts responded with two goals from Cade Thompson and one from Zaion Simmons to tie the game. Devonshire Colts won the penalty shootout 4-2.
North Village Rams 1 Somerset Trojans 8
Somerset Trojans defeated the North Village Rams 8-1 at Bernard’s Park. Deacon Wade and Nahi Reid-Anderson gave Somerset a 2-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, Marlon Harvey scored two goals, while Zydon Furbert, Krayvon Burchall, Shannon Smith, and Jaylen Maderios each added one. The North Village Rams’ only goal was scored by Chaz Edmead.

FC Bascome defeated Warwick FC 16-0 at Warwick Academy Field. Jeon Wolffe led the scoring with six goals, while Brayton Browne scored a hat-trick. Kyron Bryan and Cairo Burgess both scored twice. Micah Doran, Remi Furbert, and Xonti Burch each scored one goal.
