Thomas College Falls In NAC Championship
Thomas College, featuring six Bermudian players, lost 3-2 in extra time to SUNY Delhi in the North Atlantic Conference [NAC] Championship match.
The Thomas College team included Bermudians Tre Burgess, Stefan Simmons, Cody Robinson, Justin Sukdeo, Adio DeShield-Tankard, and T’syi Showers.
After a scoreless first half, SUNY Delhi’s Umaru Conteh opened the scoring in the 46th minute. Thomas College equalized in the 68th minute through Daud Abdi.
Bermudian Cody Robinson gave Thomas College a 2-1 lead with a goal in the 73rd minute.
SUNY Delhi forced extra time when Conteh scored his second goal in the 87th minute. Aidan Gaughan scored the championship-winning goal for SUNY Delhi in the 102nd minute.
