Court House Members Raise $5K For SCARS

Court House Squash & Wellness and its members raised $5,000 for SCARS, continuing their annual tradition of supporting local charities and protecting Bermuda’s children.

A spokesperson said, “Court House Squash & Wellness, together with its members and generous local businesses, is proud to announce that $5,000 has been raised in support of SCARS [Saving Children and Revealing Secrets].

“Since its opening in 2009, the annual Court House Members Christmas Party has served as a meaningful tradition of giving back, with proceeds from ticket sales and raffles directed to local charities.

“Over the years, Court House and its members have supported a wide range of organizations, including Dementia Bermuda, the Bermuda Red Cross, the Bermuda Diabetes Association, Friends of Hospice, Beyond Rugby, Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Bermuda, and P.A.L.S. Cancer Care.

“This year, Court House selected SCARS in recognition of the organization’s unwavering commitment to protecting Bermuda’s children and empowering survivors of abuse. The Court House team deeply admires the essential work SCARS carries out to safeguard vulnerable youth and help them rebuild their sense of safety, resilience, and confidence.”

“The Members’ Christmas Party is our way of bringing people together and celebrating our fitness community, whilst giving back to the island we’re proud to call home. Each year, our members demonstrate incredible generosity, allowing us to make a meaningful contribution towards causes that strengthen Bermuda.

“I’m incredibly proud to work for the Court House team and be involved in these meaningful initiatives.”

She added, “Strength is not always built at the gym, SCARS Bermuda provides essential programmes and support that protect children and give families the tools they need to thrive.

“We’re proud to support this charity and the profound impact they have on our island, and we thank them for the dedication and care they bring to making Bermuda safer and stronger for everyone.”
