Maycock Leads National Bowling Trials
David Maycock leads the 2026 National Championship and Selection Trials after two rounds of competition at the lanes in Bermuda. Sixteen bowlers are competing for spots on Team Bermuda for the CAC Games in Santo Domingo and the IBF World Cup in Munich.

Maycock holds the top position with a total of 2,456 pins. He recorded a high game of 244 and a low game of 150 across the first two rounds. Maycock previously led the field after the opening round with 1,337 pins.
LeVinc Samuels holds second place
LeVinc Samuels is in second place with a total pinfall of 2,384. Samuels recorded the highest single game among the top three competitors with a 266. His lowest score during the opening rounds was 146.
Lamar Richardson in third position
Lamar Richardson occupies third place with 2,321 pins. Richardson recorded a high game of 245 and a low game of 146. Dennis Joell previously held the third-place position after the first round with 1,189 pins.
Tournament format and schedule
The selection trials consist of 30 games held over five rounds. Participants are competing on professional oil patterns. Rounds 3 and 4 are scheduled for later this month [January 2026]. The national champion will be determined during the final round on February 8.
