Taylor White Wins Gold At NE10 Championships

Bermudian swimmer Taylor White captured the 1,000-yard freestyle title on the opening night of the Northeast-10 Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, delivering a gold-medal performance for Bentley University.

Competing at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the senior clocked 10 minutes, 32.14 seconds to win the event, improving on last year’s bronze-medal finish. White secured the victory by more than five seconds over the runner-up.

White later returned to the pool to lead off Bentley’s 800-yard freestyle relay team. She was joined by Grace Motisi, Skyla Lang and Fotini Anastasiadou, with the quartet finishing in 7:47.95 to earn the silver medal. Southern Connecticut State University claimed the relay title.

After the first session of the four-day meet, Southern Connecticut State leads the team standings with 127 points. Bentley is second with 104 points.
