Selley & Bridges Impress At IHRA Event
Bermudian powerboat racers David Selley and Steven Bridges made an impressive showing in the Super Stock Class during qualifying at the IHRA New Orleans Powerboat Grand Prix.
Competing in the S-25 Team Bermuda boat, the pair recorded a leading time of 3:28.066. The performance placed them at the top of the grid for Sunday’s main event despite choppy water conditions on the course.
Another Bermudian competitor, Luis Martins, also qualified in the top five. Racing in the S-12 Nuff Said with partner Nick Imprescia, Martins finished the qualifying session with a time of 3:31.347.
