Sakari Famous Wins Texas High Jump Event
Bermudian high jumper Sakari Famous cleared 1.85 metres [6ft 0¾in] to win the women’s high jump at the John Green/Texas Greatest Athlete Invitational in Texas.
Famous delivered a strong performance throughout the competition, progressing through the heights by clearing 1.73m [5ft 8in], 1.76m [5ft 9¼in], 1.82m [5ft 11½in] and 1.85m [6ft 0¾in].
Her 1.85m clearance secured first place in the event and places her 101st in the world rankings for the 2026 season so far.
