Gift Giving At Residential Treatment Homes

Minister of Social Development and Seniors Tinee Furbert participated in the donation of gifts to some of Bermuda’s young people in residential treatment homes, which was held earlier this week

The event took place at the Brangman Home. The Premier’s wife Kristin Burt,  the Junior Minister of Social Development and Seniors and Home Affairs Senator Lindsay Simmons and Residential Treatment Officers were also present at the gift giving event.

Minister Furbert, who was asked to participate in the event by Sen. Simmons said, “We recognize that throughout this year, our children have been faced with many challenges. We are thankful to many in our community who help to ensure that despite any hardships faced this year, our young people experience a moment of joy and happiness during this Christmas season.

“To our community partners, The Foster Care Association, Inspector Tracy Burgess of the Police Gang Unit, Raymond Rochester, The McKevitt Family and Sound Decisions, I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation for helping to make this opportunity possible.”
