This past weekend [June 11/12] a number of cricket games took place across the island.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 8 Wickets, PHC 179 St. David’s Cricket Club 180/2

St. David’s Cricket Club won the toss and elected to send PHC to bat at the PHC Stadium, PHC were bowled all out for 179 in 49 overs, Kamau Leverock was the top scorer with 45, while both Jason Anderson and Cal Waldron scored 20, Sammy Robinson had bowling figures of 10-1-26-2 for the St. David’s Cricket Club, while Del Hollis who opened the bowling had figures of 10-2-31-2. In reply St David’s scored 180/2, Delyone Borden was the top scorer with 63 runs, while Fiqre Crockwell added 61, Kevin Tucker had bowling figures of 7-0-33-1 for PHC.

Devonshire Recreation Club Win by 8 Wickets, Southampton Rangers 207 Devonshire Recreation Club 208/2

At the Southampton Oval, Devonshire Recreation Club won the toss and invited Southampton Rangers to bat, they were bowled all out for 207. Dion Stovell was the top scorer with 42, while Curtis Jackson added 34, Dean Stephens had bowling figures of 8.3-0-38-3 for Devonshire Recreation Club, while Derek Brangman had figures of 10-2-27-2. In reply Ricardo Brangman scored 77 not out as the Devonshire Recreation Club scored 208/2, Stephens was on 35 not out when the score was crossed, Janeiro Tucker had bowling figures of 6-0-31-1 for Southampton Rangers.

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 4 Wickets, Willow Cuts 280/7 St. George’s Cricket Club 281/6

At the Somerset Cricket Club, Sheroy Fubler scored 76 runs to lead Willow Cuts to a total of 280/7 in their allotted 50 overs, Malachi Jones added 60 and Chris Douglas scored 53, Zeiko Burgess had figures of 8-0-55-2 for St. George’s Cricket Club, while Oronde Bascome had figures of 10-1-57-2. In reply Dean Minors scored 102 not out as St. George’s Cricket Club reached their total with four wickets in hand, Clay Smith added 53, George O’Brien had bowling figures of 8-0-42-2 for Willow Cuts.

Western Stars Win by 6 Wickets, Flatt’s Victoria 170 Western Stars 171/4

At Lord’s in St. David’s, Flatt’s Victoria were bowled all out for 170 in 42.3 overs, Reginald Baker was the top scorer with 33, Brian Hall had figures of 6-0-30-3 for Western Stars, while Tre Manders bowled 5-0-38-3 and Ray Butterfield bowled 10-0-46-3. In reply McLaren Lowe scored 73 not out as Western Stars scored 171/4, Regino Smith had figures of 5-0-34-2 for Flatt’s Victoria.

Cleveland County Win by 265 Runs, Cleveland County 350/9 Warwick Workmen’s Club 85

At the Sea Breeze Oval, Glen Blakeney scored 95 runs to lead the Cleveland County to a total of 350/9 in their 50 overs, Dennis Musson Jr. was on 64 not out when the innings closed, while Kion Butterfield added 58, Roland Holdipp had figures of 7-0-36-2 for Warwick Workmen’s Club. In reply the Warwick Workmen’s Club was bowled all out for 85, Joshua Butler was the top scorer with 28 not out, while Lavar Talbot had figures of 6-0-17-4, Blakeney chipped in with figures of 3.2-1-4-2.
