Teens Beat Masters In Swim Challenge

This past Saturday [Oct.8] at the BASA Pool, the 4 x 50m freestyle challenge between three masters teams [over 30 years of age each team] and three teenage teams resulted in a narrow but decisive victory to the teenagers representing the powerful Sharks Club.

Anchored by 17-year-old swimmer Nick Patterson, the youngsters came from behind to win in a stunning 1.56.36, beating the top Masters team which recorded a National best Masters time of 1.58.90. They were chased home by the other two Masters squads with the remaining two teenager teams coming in 5th and 6th.
