Women’s Futsal League action continued inside the Bermuda College Gym on Saturday [Feb.18]
North Village Lady Rams 6 Somerset Hurricanes 2
The Somerset Hurricanes managed to keep the game close in the first half, but the North Village Lady Rams pulled away in the second half scoring 4 goals. North Village Lady Rams Player/Coach Naquita Robinson continued her scoring touch with 2 goals along with Kyla Ramatar, while Khyla Brangman and Tschana Wade added a goal each. Tasia Trott and Adelia Cann scored a goal each for the Somerset Hurricanes.
Robin Hood 0 PHC Lady Zebras 4
In the game of the evening, fans were treated to non-stop excitement as Robin Hood had no answer to PHC who jumped out to a 3 goal lead by the first half. PHC shut down their opponents smooth passing skills with constant defensive pressure. Robin Hood will have to rebound from this loss if they have any hope of winning the league. The PHC Lady Zebras got two goals from Aaliyah Nolan and single strikes from Waynesha Bean and Kali Lespere.
Hamilton Parish 1 Dandy Stars One 8
The Dandy Stars One team overwhelmed Hamilton Parish, who despite the final tally had plenty of scoring opportunities. Selena Thompson scored a hat-trick and Raini Maybury scored twice to lead the way for the Dandy Stars One team, while Zahra Gibbons, K’Sheala Burch Waldron and Ky anah Outerbridge all scored a goal each. Lellanni Nasbeth scored the lone goal for Hamilton Parish.
Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds 3 Dandy Stars Two 5
In another entertaining match, Dandy Stars Two team scored all of their goals in the first half as Alana Burchell and Jaylen Bean both scored twice, while Rickelle Smith added the other, Sandra Medeiros scored twice and Chai T scored the other.
