Reggie Lambe Scores Twice In Toronto Win

Bermuda’s Reggie Lambe scored two goals to help propel his Toronto team to a win in the CONCACAF Champions League [CCL] today [Aug 1].

He is the second professional footballer from Bermuda to score two goals today, as Nahki Wells also accomplished the same feat two in the UK.

Toronto Football Club was up against C.D. Aguila from El Salvador with the game being played at the BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario. Toronto won the match 5-1, with Lambe scoring in the 17th and 48th minute.

There were actually two Bermudians involved, with newly signed goalkeeper Freddy Hall sitting on the bench for Toronto.

The victory propels Toronto immediately to the top of Group 1. They resume CCL play on August 28 back at BMO Field in a date with the Mexican team Santos Laguna, however return to MLS play on Saturday with a trip to Chicago.
