Tropical Depression Fifteen Forms In Atlantic

A low pressure area over the the Central Tropical Atlantic Ocean has become Tropical Depression Fifteen, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. Its maximum sustained winds are presently 35 mph, and the system could become a Tropical Storm in the next day or so.

The Bermuda Weather Service said the Depression is not a threat to the island, and its closest point of approach to Bermuda within 72 hrs is forecast to be 1387 nm to the ESE at 2pm on Thursday, October 4.
