Photos: Visiting U.S. Military Aircraft Depart

November 27, 2012

Five United States Air Force aircraft landed at the LF Wade International Airport yesterday [Nov 26], and the two Bell Boeing V-22 Ospreys and three C130 Hercules were seen taking off this morning at approximately 11.00am.

The US Air Force website says “The CV-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor aircraft that combines the vertical takeoff, hover and vertical landing qualities of a helicopter with the long-range, fuel efficiency and speed characteristics of a turboprop aircraft. Its mission is to conduct long-range infiltration, exfiltration and resupply missions for special operations forces.”
