Kerri Furbert Qualifies For 2013 Carifta Games

Bermuda’s Kerri Furbert finished 3rd in the Women’s Long Jump at a recent overseas meet, with her top leap of 5.76m a personal best. The leap by University of Missouri athlete served to qualify her for the 2013 Carifta Games, which will be held in the Bahamas from March 28 – April 1.

Other Bermudian athletes saw action, with Alison Outerbridge — competing for the University of Tennessee — placing 4th in the Women’s Triple Jump at the Virginia Tech Invitational. Her leap of 11.98m was a personal best.

Ashley Berry also competed in the Virginia Tech Invitational, with her mile time of 5:04.88 a personal best and earning her 9th in her heat and 11th overall.
