Butterfield Bank Share Repurchases

In a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange, the Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited announced that during the month of February 2013 the Bank bought for Treasury 83,313 common shares at an average cost of $1.297 per share. The Bank also repurchased and cancelled 129 NTB 8% Preferred shares at an average cost of $1,231.73

    Wow…83,313 shares from a total of almost 700 million. And a whopping $159k on the preferrence shares. Bermuda has never had a proper discussion about the COLLAPSE of the Bank of Butterfield. Look for some more redundancies once CIBC takes over.
