Photos #1: 2013 Alpha Phi Alpha Black & Gold Ball

On Saturday [Apr 13], the Distinguished men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The Epsilon Theta Lambda Chapter [Bermuda] held their 13th Annual Black and Gold Ball at the Hamilton Fairmont Princess Hotel.

It was gala event complimented with performances from Troika, The PHC Drumline, The Unit, Bro. Dr. John Duncan and Shacolbi Basden along with a show stopping performance by a collection of Alpha Men known as Invictus.

The keynote speaker, Minister Shawn Crockwell delivered, an address aimed at motivating the brothers to remember the tenants of the founding of the Fraternity – Manly Deeds, Scholarship and Love of All Mankind.

Community Service Awards were given out to Raleigh International and The Bermuda Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and its coveted Brother of the Year award to Bro. Zuri Darrell.

There were numerous people in attendance including Governor George Fergusson; Premier Craig Cannonier; Opposition Leader Marc Bean; Cabinet Ministers, MPs and Senators from both parties, business executives and more. You can view the second set of photos here, and the first set below.
