Planned Power Outage At MWI This Weekend
The Bermuda Hospitals Board have advised that there will be a planned power outage at the Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute [MWI] between 6am on Saturday [Sept 7] and 1pm today [Sept 8].
The outage is required for a new generator to be installed for a data centre. The data centre services MWI and also be a backup for the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
While the work is undertaken, MWI will have emergency power so that inpatient services can continue. However, there will be a limited phone service during this time. For psychiatric emergencies, the public are advised to call 595-1484.
