2 weeks to confirm his death? Wth? My condolences to his family.

    • Time Shall Tell says:

Perhaps it took that long to get in contact with the proper next of kin to notify them first.

  2. Hurricane says:

I find this very odd and not in keeping with “normal pratcise”. Names are witheld until next of kin are notified but not the fact that island has suffered another fatility. Of course I could be totally wrong and stand to be corrected

  3. terry says:

    Condolences to the family.
Pay no attention to the f*** a*** here who make such stooped coments.
    Bermuda.

  4. Hmmm says:

My condolences to Donald Pimentel’s family and friends.

  5. Sense says:

Now can we please get rid of these unsafe helmets that are issued my cycle hire operators? If no local would wear a clumsy half-shell, why do we issue them to our visitors?

    • Witness says:

I agree about the helmet…it was at least 50 feet away from the collision. Hopefully the police will investigate fully why both bikes were on the north side of the road. I did not see the collision but was there minutes later and observed both bikes and riders clearly on one side of the road…no scattered bits and pieces elsewhere.

  6. BermudaGirl says:

My condolences to the family. How tragic!
Yes, take a second-and third-look at those rediculous pith helmets for rental bikes! What happened to “real” helmets??

  7. Moonbeam says:

I agree that ‘proper’ helmets should be required for ALL cyclists. However, has it been established that Mr. Pimental died of head injuries ?
I send my heartfelt condolences to his family at this tragic time.
