Kristin White: New Development Director
The St. George’s Foundation said that Kristin White will be their new Development Director, to start in January 2014 alongside new Executive Director Dr. Charlotte Andrews.
Earlier this year, Ms. White announced that she would be leaving the Executive Director position at Raleigh Bermuda, a role she has had for seven years. At the time, she cited a desire to be more involved in new strategic community projects that will focus on St. George’s, youth unemployment, and initiatives to create more sustainable and resilient communities.

Ms. White said, “I am very excited to take on this new challenge for The St. George’s Foundation and indeed for the town. I am in love with St. George’s — it is a wonderful community of which I feel quite lucky to be part.
“Although the town has had well-documented struggles, it should not overshadow that the residents, business owners, Corporation, museums and volunteers are working hard to create a new path.
“And I truly believe the Foundation has a key role to play in developing Bermuda’s World Heritage Site in a way that preserves and celebrates our history, while shaping and redefining our future.”
In addition to Raleigh Bermuda, she has worked for other nonprofits over the last decade, including The Centre on Philanthropy and Bermuda International Business Association, as well as serving on numerous boards and committees.
Ms. White has been an active volunteer in St. George’s since moving to the town 11 years ago, and is the co-owner of a small bookstore on Water Street.
Congratulations Kristin! I know you will do a great job. Keep up the good work!
